I am a native Tennessean, but I have spent many years living in the Florida peninsula where I learned a lot about life and about myself. I returned to Tennessee in 2006 with my husband and children, and we currently live just north of Nashville in Hendersonville.
I “make a living” raising our 6 children – it doesn’t pay much, the hours are long, and the work is hard, but the benefit package is priceless.
Thanks to my husband who has come to recognize the benefits of a sane wife and mother for his children, I find time to relax and recoup regularly in front of a canvas with a brush in my hand. I have always loved getting lost in great paintings, but it was not until 2007, under the direction of my friend and instructor, David Gillihan, that I discovered that I could create a few of those myself. I am privileged to belong to and work alongside a fun group of great artists, the Artists on Main, located in the antique district of Goodlettsville, Tennessee.
Many of my paintings have been inspired by my relationships and experiences in life. Each piece has a story. Please look around, and when you see something you like, let me know; I would love to hear from you.
